Thursday Afternoon on the River

Last year, when I was running with a half marathon training group, we ran nine miles out and back from Meadow Camp (read about it here).  It was such a beautiful trail and I promised myself to come back someday when I could take pictures.  Yesterday Ted and I did just that.

I hadn't remembered that we did nine miles that day last year - Ted and I did five total, and it was as beautiful (and as hilly) as I remembered.

This is an osprey with his breakfast fish.

We hiked up the trail from Meadow Camp to the Big Eddy, where we were able to watch one raft-load of people shoot the rapids right from the photographer's spot, and right where the above osprey was having his breakfast.

I didn't snap a picture of that raft, as I didn't know any of those people, but here we are two years ago shooting that same rapid:

And a random of little Stevie that day.

On another note, we were in Reno last weekend for this girl's graduation from UNR:

We had a great time, as always, and the weather was lovely.  We got to visit with Bill, Andi, Stevie, Sharon and Don, which is always great.  Meg and I enjoyed a spa day (that girl can "spa" like no one's business), and then we met up with Emil and Ted for drinks and dinner.  I always love spending time with Meg and Emil.

I'm looking forward to their upcoming wedding <3

Have a great Memorial Day (no school - yay!)
